The short version: we collect only what the product needs, your household's data is isolated and never sold, and you can export or delete everything at any time.
01What we collect
Only what CapyHome needs to work:
- Account basics — your name and the email or phone number you sign in with.
- Household data — food items and their dates, meal plans, shopping lists, notes, tasks and finance entries your household adds.
- Telegram ID — only if you choose to link the Capy bot.
- Basic technical data (device type, crash logs) to keep the service reliable.
02How we use it
To run the product, and nothing else: expiry reminders, meal suggestions, shopping de-duplication, spending summaries and the bot messages you've opted into. We also use aggregate, de-identified usage to make CapyHome better.
03Your household's data is isolated
Each household is its own private space. Only its members can see what's shared inside it, and if you belong to several homes, each one stays fully separate. Our staff do not read your household content except when you ask us to for support.
04What we never do
- We never sell your data, to anyone.
- We never show ads or build advertising profiles.
- We never read your notes, lists or finances to target you.
05Your rights
You stay in control:
- Export everything from Settings -> Privacy as a JSON file, anytime.
- Ask us to delete your account and all its data — we confirm within 30 days.
- Leave a household at any moment without affecting anyone else's data.
