I was never the kitchen-manager type
I don't enjoy managing a kitchen, I don't love tidying the fridge, and I'm no great cook. But every single day I kept asking the same questions:
It was never just the fridge
Looking around, my whole home was a string of unanswered questions. What chores are still left? What's on the family calendar? What's coming up for my wife and kids? Where did this month's grocery money go?
One system for the whole home
Because I care about nutrition, everything orbits around food: what's in the fridge, the week's meals, the shopping list. But CapyHome's storage does not stop at the fridge.
Brewing since 2021 — and one lesson
I researched this deeply and have carried the idea since 2021. After more failed attempts than I'd like to admit, one lesson stuck:
Better than perfect.
Better every day, instead of perfect someday.
Why the name "CapyHome"?
Capy is the capybara — calm, friendly, and at peace with everyone around it. CapyHome means a home of happiness.
Swap the C for an H and "Capy" becomes "Hapy" — sound familiar? A home with less waste and fewer questions is a happier home.
Why we keep going
Cutting the waste in your fridge is my main goal. We will keep improving the product every day to bring CapyHome to the world and help more households — starting with families in Vietnam.
