The short version: CapyHome is free to use, your content stays yours, food-safety decisions stay yours too, and we'll always tell you before anything important changes.
01Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using CapyHome you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service. You must be at least 13, or use CapyHome with a parent or guardian.
02The service
CapyHome is a household tool for food inventory, meal planning, shopping, notes, tasks and family finance. It's free during this period; if we add optional paid extras later, existing essentials stay free and we'll announce changes in the app first.
03Your account & household
Keep your sign-in details safe — you're responsible for activity on your account. Household admins decide who joins. Anything you share into a household is visible to its members, so share with people you trust.
04Your content
Everything your household adds stays yours. You give us only the licence needed to run the service — storing, syncing and backing it up. We don't use your content for advertising.
05Food & health disclaimer
CapyHome provides reference information about food. Expiry estimates and nutrition insights support your judgement — they never replace it. Food-safety decisions are always your responsibility, so check before you eat.
06Fair use
Please don't:
- Break, overload or probe the service, or reverse-engineer it.
- Use CapyHome for anything unlawful, or store unlawful content.
- Spam other people through the Capy bot or shared lists.
07Ending & changes
You can stop using CapyHome anytime and take your data with you (Settings -> Privacy). We may update these terms; for meaningful changes we will notify you in the app at least 30 days ahead.
